A strong immune
system helps to keep a person healthy. The question is can specific foods boost
the immunity system? The answer is “Yes”. Healthy and balanced diet plays a
very important role in staying well. There are the some foods your body really
needs to stay healthy. Including these specific foods into the diet may
strengthen a person’s immune response.
Immune
System: The immune system consists of organs, cells, tissues, and proteins.
Together, these carry out bodily processes that fight off pathogens, which are
the viruses, bacteria, and foreign bodies that cause infection or disease. When
the immune system comes into contact with a pathogen, it triggers an immune
response. The immune system releases antibodies, which attach to antigens on
the pathogens and kill them.
One of the
most important ways to stay healthy is to adopt habits that strengthen
immunity. That means getting enough sleep, managing stress, being active,
washing your hands properly and, eating healthy and balanced food. While no
food or supplement can “cure” or even 100% prevent you from catching a virus
like the Corona virus or any other flu, some foods have been shown to help
bolster immunity. The following foods may help boost your Immune System:

TURMERIC:
Turmeric is a yellow color spice that people use in cooking. It has medicinal
properties too. Consuming turmeric may improve a person’s immune system.
Turmeric contains a compound called “curcumin”. Curcumin has antioxidant and
anti-inflammatory effects.
2. ALMONDS:
Almonds are another excellent source of Vitamin E. They are full of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids,
which are essentials for mental alertness. They also contain manganese,
magnesium and fiber. Raw almonds are best, but even cooked one can make a
discernible difference to your energy levels.
3. WALNUT
is another great nut for energy. High levels of Potassium, iron and zinc serve
to make walnut an excellent choice for anyone feeling a little inert (life
less).
4. GINGER: People
use ginger in a variety of ways. Ginger has anti-inflammatory and
anti-oxidative properties.
5. OATS are
one of the primary energy-boosting foods. They contain slow-burning
carbohydrates that provide your body with a constant stream of energy. Full of
B vitamins, which assist in keeping your body alerts. Oats can ensure that you
are never lacking in energy.
6. BANANAS are
incredible energy foods, and can give those listless days a shot in the arm.
Potassium is one of the factors in this, as bananas are absolutely packed with
it and the sugars contained in bananas are easily digested and turned straight
into power for your body.
7. CITRUS FRUITS: All types of citrus
fruits such as oranges, grape fruits, lemons and limes have a lot of water,
Vitamin A and Vitamin, fiber and flavonoids. These fruits clean your body,
boost immune system and metabolism, and promote weight loss.
8. SPINACH: Spinach
is a great energy food, as it contain many essential nutrients and antioxidants
like flavonoids, carotenoids, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and it is having high iron
content too. It helps make a healthy,
strong and energetic body. It is best consumed raw, and tastes great in a
salad.
9. BROCCOLI: Broccoli
is another high source of Vitamin C. it also contains
antioxidant-“sulforaphane”, which is good for immunity.
10. LENTILS
should also be a staple part of your diet. They are full of protein, amino
acids, vitamins and minerals and can replace pasta or rice in almost any dish.
Sprouted lentils contain sufficient levels of all the essential amino acids; a
must for anyone looking to get a little more vigor (Physical Strength) from
their food.
11. DARK CHOCOLATE:
If you are a chocoholic, you will be happy to hear that a little chocolate can
give you a real energy boost. A few squares of dark chocolate contain enough
caffeine and antioxidant-“theobromine” which may help to boost the immune
system by protecting the body cells from free radicals. Try to get high-cocoa
chocolate, as it contains more of the compounds that are helpful. Cocoa beans
contain Phenylethamine, it is a chemical that results in the feelings we get in
the early stages of a relationship.
12. SESAME SEEDS are easy to crowbar into your diet somewhere and are full of the essential minerals for the alertness and vigor. They can be mixed with yoghurt, honey or whatever you like and are a real energy super food and help boost immunity power.
13. BLUE BERRIES: Blue
berries contain anthocyanin, which has
antioxidant properties that help boost immune system.
14. WATER:
and finally, though it may seem strange to mention it. Water is one of the best
things you can consume to increase your energy. Ti is crucially important in
the processes used by your body to provide energy. Drinking adequate amounts
ensures that your body has what it needs to do its best job. So, drink around
10-12 glasses of water a day and everything else on this list will guaranteed
